Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry partnered with Business France India and The French Institute in India, in organizing the "Indo-French Healthcare Symposium 2022: Together for Tomorrow's Health", on 28th November 2022 at The Leela Palace in New Delhi.
The event brought together the members of the Indian and French governments, eminent medical experts including doctors, deans, professors, key opinion leaders, CEOs, decision-makers, and many more.
This symposium served as a platform to stakeholders in the French and Indian healthcare ecosystems to strengthen cooperation in research, training, and trade in the medical and pharmaceutical fields between the two countries as well as to discuss the current challenges and opportunities to forge new pathways in healthcare delivery.
Mr. Damien Syed, Deputy Head of Mission, French Embassy in India opened the Session and welcomed the participants. Dr. V K Paul, Hon'ble Member of NITI Aayog, Government of India was the Chief Guest at the event, and he emphasized on India and France being strong partners in boosting the healthcare systems in both the countries and the importance on developing innovative and affordable healthcare solutions together.
The four Panel Sessions focusing on different areas of healthcare witnessed an excellent line of esteemed speakers (30+) comprising healthcare professionals, clinical professors, medical experts and business stakeholders of both countries who enlightened the participants on current opportunities for creating new pathways in the healthcare industry. Several experts from the healthcare industry joined the Symposium online from France to share their thoughts.
Panel 1 focused on strategic Indo-French alliances in healthcare sector while Panel 2 focused on Pharmaceuticals and biotechnologies. During Panel 3, the deliberations were on hospital care and medical devices with a special testimony on a breakthrough surgery that was performed recently in India with French technology. This was followed by the discussion on the holistic Indo-French partnership in the innovative technologies and services landscape and the presentation of some of the innovative French Healthcare Companies as a part of the delegation. Panel 4 highlighted the academic and scientific bilateral cooperation in healthcare and the focus on OneHealth Network.
In the second half of the day, Business France organized B2B Meetings between the French delegation and the Indian companies Parallelly, the Indo-French Scientific Workshop on “The Indo-French OneHealth Network: State of the Art and Roadmap for Future” was also organised by Institut Français.
Over 150 attendees participated in the event.
