IFCCI Energy & Utilities Committee, successful conducted a webinar on the Indo-French Development of Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia on 17th November

Under the aegis of the IFCCI Energy & Utilities Committee, the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry successful conducted a webinar on the Indo-French Development of Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia on Friday, 17th November 2023.

 

Ms. Rishika Roy, Head of Committees & Partnerships at IFCCI, delivered the opening remarks and introduced the speakers for the session. Mr. Guirec Servan, MD of EDF Renewables and Chairperson of the IFCCI Energy Committee, welcomed the participants and expressed his enthusiasm to outset the first energy committee webinar focusing on hydrogen power and the significance of hydrogen energy in the near future.

 

The session commenced with a brief overview of Hydrogen and renewable energy from a financial perspective by Mr. Raghav Handa, Director Strategic Business Development and Govt. Affairs, HSBC India. Mr. Gautam Chabra Partner – Projects Conventional & Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, Project Development Trilegal skilfully set the context for the panel speakers, and expertly moderating the discussion.

 

The distinguished panel speakers included:

Ms. Priyanka Sahasrabudhe, Lead – H2 Global Strategy, Business Development, Ador Powertron Ltd.

Mr. Pulak Prakash, Director – Sales & Strategy, Commodities, Industry & Facilities Division, South Asia Operating Region, Bureau Veritas India Pvt Ltd

 

The panel extensively covered Hydrogen and Green Ammonia, addressing challenges, supply chain dynamics, storage, mobility considerations, certification processes, government regulations, and other key facets. Their insights provided a thorough understanding of sustainable development in these emerging trends.

 

Following the panel discussion, an engaging Q&A session took place, allowing members gain deeper insights.

 

Mr. Dhananjay Kumar, Director of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs at Engie and Vice-Chairperson of the IFCCI Energy & Utilities Committee, summarized the session, emphasizing the importance of addressing carbon emissions and acknowledging the timeliness of the webinar.

 

Over 50 participants attended the event, which concluded with a note of thanks from Mr. Nakul Dalwala, Assistant Manager - Events (Hyd) & SPOC for Energy & Utilities Committee at IFCCI. Expressing gratitude to participants and speakers for their valuable contributions to the insightful discussion on the future of green hydrogen and green ammonia development.
