New Delhi : Project Launch Of The 'Business Support To EU-India Policy Dialogues'

The European Business and Technology Centre launched their much awaited project on 26th February 2019 namely Business Support to EU-India Policy Dialogues.

Indo–French Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s Secretary General – Ms. Payal S. Kanwar was invited to be a part of a panel discussion at the launch event, in the presence of H.E. Ms. Elzbieta Bienkowska, Commissioner - Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs. H.E. Mr Tomasz Kozlowski, Ambassador of the European Union to India and Mr Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog were the key note speakers of the event.

The event focused on how over the course of time, India has become the largest trading partner of the European Union and also a hub of ever growing business opportunities.

The ‘Business Support to EU-India Policy Dialogues’ Project is a tool to support EU businesses and complement the on-going EU-India policy dialogues in sectors of mutual priority like environment, energy, water, urbanization and ICT. Further, the Project shall strive to remove trade barriers and identify regulatory and economic trends with a focus on SMEs to ensure increased and diversified collaborations among Indian and EU businesses in those sectors.

Being a part of the panel, Ms. Kanwar spoke about French SMEs in India and how to collaborate on an EU level. The other panelists - Mr. Guillaume Choquet, Counsellor Economic Affairs, Embassy of Belgium in India; Mr. Klaus Maier, Founder, Maier + Vidorno; Ms. Neerja Singh, Director & Head - Infrastructure (Transport & Urban), FICCI and Mr. Davinder Sandhu, Partner, KPMG also shared their views and expertise on EU-India business relations, scope and future engagements at the event.
