The Higher Education Committee of the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) organized a webinar on the 'Evolution of NEP & FHEI norms: A French Perspective', in the first week of July 2024.
Ms. Rishika Roy, Head - Committees & Partnerships, IFCCI, in her welcoming remarks provided an overview of IFCCI Committees and the previous activities of the Higher Education Committee.
The session featured distinguished speakers including Dr. Archana Thakur, Joint Secretary at the University Grants Commission (UGC); Dr. Dipesh Shah, Executive Director (Development) at the International Financial Services Centres Authority (GIFT City); Dr. Fabien Chareix, Coordinator of the University, Science and Technology Sector at Institut Français en Inde (IFI); and Dr. Mohit Anand, Director of Operations - India Associate Professor: International Business and Strategy at emlyon business school. The discussion focused on various aspects of NEP, including new regulations, guidelines on international affairs, the importance and opportunities for foreign universities in India, and the approach to developing French language learning in India. The panel discussion was moderated by Ms. Maud Le Bars.
The session concluded with remarks by Dr. Mohit Anand, an interactive Q&A session involving members from French universities and organizations with a focus on Higher Education.
The session highlighted the pros and cons for French universities entering the Indian market and a suggestion for an alumni connect program for better outreach and engagement.
