IFCCI CSR Connect Seminar - Driving Innovation through CSR and ESG Innovations

The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), in collaboration with the French Embassy in India, successfully hosted the 2nd edition of the IFCCI CSR Connect Seminar on September 24, 2024, at the Embassy of France in New Delhi.
This year’s seminar, themed 'Driving Innovation through CSR and ESG Partnerships,' gathered nearly 90 corporate leaders, NGOs, and other CSR stakeholders to explore the role of innovation in CSR and to foster collaborations.
The event commenced with introductory remarks and a presentation on the IFCCI CSR Department by Ms. Payal S. Kanwar, Director General, IFCCI. H.E. Mr. Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India extended a warm welcome to the members and acknowledged the significant contributions of French companies and NGOs towards CSR in India. Dr. Chintan Vaishnav, Mission Director of the NITI Aayog Atal Innovation Mission, delivered a Special Address highlighting the importance of engagement programs and the role of technology incubators in the CSR space.
The other highlights of the Seminar were -
- Special Remarks from Mr. Benoit Renard, VP North, IFCCI, and Managing Director of Air Liquide India who shared his perspectives on leadership and CSR Partnerships
- Panel Discussion on CSR Innovation, expertly moderated by Ms. Priyam Dhamankar, Vice Chairperson of the IFCCI CSR Committee and Legal and Compliance Director at Servier India, who led an engaging discussion with Ms. Anuradha Suvarna, Head of Sustainability & CSR at L’Oréal India; Mr. Hemant Gadgil, Program Director & Mentor at La Fondation Dassault Systèmes; Ms. Ribu Choudary, Head of CSR and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Amadeus; and Dr. Richa Gautam, Sustainability & CSR Leader for the Greater India Zone at Schneider Electric India, on how businesses are integrating innovation into their CSR initiatives and programs.
- Fireside Chat with NGOs on "Measuring Impact and Success in CSR" featuring Dr. Chinuu Kwatra, Founder of the Khushiyaan Foundation; Ms. Kim Menezes Managing Trustee of The Shelter; and Ms. Basanti Caroline Roubline, Executive Director of TARA Child Protection and Empowerment, who were in conversation with Mr. Shad Joynal Abedin, Political Counsellor at the French Embassy in India. This discussion showcased how strategic partnerships among corporates, NGOs, and governments can drive lasting change and helps NGOs to measure impact and success in this space.
