The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), under the aegis of its CFO committee and in collaboration with the Embassy of France in India, organized its flagship Seminar - Annual Union Budget Seminar on Decoding the Union Budget 2025 on 7th February 2025, at the Embassy of France in New Delhi.
The event commenced with welcome and introductory remarks by Ms. Payal S. Kanwar, Director General, IFCCI, & Mr. Rajat Roy, Chairperson, IFCCI CFO Committee & Vice President Finance, Accor India & South Asia setting the context for the seminar. This was followed by an in-depth budget analysis by Mr. David Karmouni, Regional Financial Counsellor, Deputy to the Head of Regional Economic Services, Embassy of France, highlighting the vital economic policy initiatives.
Mr. Gaurav Jain, Partner - Tax, Forvis Mazars, with his detailed presentation shared an overview of the key takeaways from the Union Budget 2025, outlining critical tax reforms and financial strategies.
This was followed by an insightful panel discussion, moderated by Mr. Himanshu Sinha, Partner - Tax, Trilegal. The panel featured Mr. Gaurav Jain, Partner - Tax, Forvis Mazars, Mr. Puneet Gulati, Deputy Head of Research, HSBC India, Mr. Raj Kumar, Regional CFO - India, IDEMIA and Mr. Saurabh Mittal, Director – Tax & Customs, Greater India Zone, Schneider Electric. They engaged in a comprehensive analysis covering various aspects like tax developments, investment trends, transfer pricing, IFSC , GST provisions and sustainability-driven policies. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, fostering valuable industry perspectives.
