Webinar on Repatriation Strategies & Regulations between India and France

IFCCI in association with UJA is organised a webinar on “Repatriation Strategies and Regulations from India to France” on Wednesday, 12th October 2022

Mr. Bruno Bronquard, Regional Director, IFCCI introduced the topic and welcomed all the speakers and participants for this session. The webinar was taken over by speakers of the event: Ms. Neha Raheja - Partner, Direct Tax, UJA and Ms. Pooja Prakash - Head of Department, Company Law and Secretarial, UJA

This webinar focused on the tools necessary to identify the suitable funds repatriation strategy for an organisation. It highlighted the India – France Bilateral Relations stating with the establishment of strategic partnerships in 1998, there has been a significant progress in all areas of bilateral co-operation through regular high – level exchanges & growing commercial exchanges in areas such a defence, nuclear energy & space. It also has both Indian and French investors.

Furthermore, it illustrated India’s Profit Repatriation Regulations Selecting the Right Repatriation Strategy which listed elements like Dividend to Shareholders, Share buyback, Interest Payments, Royalty Payments, Business Support Services.

As conclusion, the experts discussed how to take credit of taxes withheld in India and expansion of knowledge of the existing Indian regulations to minimize the taxation.

It was an interesting and engaging session which was appreciated by all the participants.
