Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry, organized Pune’s first CXOs roundtable session over breakfast with Ms. Sonia Barbry, Consule Generale of France in Mumbai, India.

The session was chaired by Mr Ravin Mirchandani, Chairman, IFCCI Pune and Executive Chairman, Ador Powertron Ltd. A total of 14 CEOs and CXOs of 11 Indian and French companies operating out of Pune were present to discuss and understand the business opportunities and challenges in Pune.

Ms Sonia Barbry emphasized upon the fact that India and France have close and friendly relations. In the last five years, there has been a significant increase of over 25% in the bilateral trade between the two countries. India’s imports stand at a staggering $6.6 Billion from France for 2018-19, which is a testimony of the strong ties.

The small industry interaction brought forth various issues such as lack of visibility of French Companies in major expos/salons, difficulties with the local FRROs, and paucity of French Institutions for the children of French Expats.
