The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) organized Pune’s second CXOs Panel Discussion (webinar) session with Dr. K Venkatesham, Commissioner of Police, Pune on Monday, 13th April 2020.
The participants were welcomed by Ms Payal S Kanwar, Director General, IFCCI and did a quick round of introductions.
The session was chaired by Mr Ravin Mirchandani, Chairman, IFCCI Pune and Executive Chairman, Ador Powertron Ltd. A total of 25 CEOs and CXOs of Indian and French companies operating out of Pune were present to have discussions amongst each other to not only better understand the difficulties but also share the best practices and common challenges during this pandemic.
Dr K Venkatesham emphasized upon the fact that India’s timely, fast and integrated decisions have helped to contain the virus from spreading. He also mentioned that the lockdown also helped the administration to buy some time to increase health and testing capabilities. Geospatial analysis helped to make clusters where the cases were high were completely contained. PMC survey teams identifying people who have travel history are being under observation and simple public awareness system is being implemented. A digital pass system (on pro bono basis) introduced to address the emergencies for people who may need to travel for work/medical reasons and essential situations.
The Commissioner of Police then took some questions from the members.
