PAN India: Webinar on Sustainable Manufacturing in India
IFCCI under the aegis of Industry Committee organized a webinar on ‘Sustainable Manufacturing in on 24th June 2021.

Ms. Tracy Fernandes, Manager – Events and Membership, IFCCI opened the Session and welcomed the Speakers and Participants.
Ms. Sonia Barbry, Consul General, Consulate of France in Bombay emphasized on ecological and sustainable growth highlighting the dynamic partnership between India and France.
Mr. Eric Fajole, Trade Commissioner, Business France stated that Sustainability is a key point of collaboration of the French industry with Indian partners. It is the driver of ecology and sustainability.
Ms. Harshbeena Zaveri, Chairperson – IFCCI Industry Committee and Managing Director, NRB Bearings Ltd shared her insights on sustainability as she spoke of the new revolutionary platforms like 0-waste management and green manufacturing. Focused on the prime objective of clean energy, which is driving growth.
This was followed by a panel discussed with distinguished speakers, moderated by Mr. Govindraj Ethiraj, Founder, IndiaSpend & BOOM

The webinar had discussions revolving around low-cost transition, environmentally conscious manufacturing, localization of products thus reducing the supply chain consumption of carbon and making it a more ‘Make in India’ initiative, recycling of raw materials, making it mandatory to become sustainable via a collaborative approach and involvement of the CSR with a promise to keep the environment greener, usage of solar energy and alternative raw materials, using natural gas as one of the major fuels to become carbon neutral, etc.
We then had case studies presented by Mr. Akash Sen, Head of Corporate Coverage, Credit Agricole CIB and Mr. Sahir Zaveri, Co-Founder & CEO, First technologies/ King Children on Role of banks in Sustainable Manufacturing business and Towards a zero-waste future respectively.
Ms Payal S. Kanwar, Director General, IFCCI extended the Vote of thanks to all speakers and sponsors for their support.
