New Delhi : Union Budget Seminar 2018 With SKP

The Indo French Chamber of Commerce & Industry - Delhi, in association with SKP Grouporganised a seminar on Union Budget FY 18-19 at Embassy of France, Delhi on Tuesday, 5th February 2018.

The objective of this session was to understand key outcomes of the recently announced union budget on 1st February by the Union Finance Minister of India, Shri. Arun Jaitley. The event broadly focused on analysing the macroeconomic proposals as well as affects of cross border transactions and the manner of doing business in India.

Following networking tea and snacks, the welcome remarks were given by Ms. Payal S. Kanwar, Secretary General, IFCCI followed by Mr. Jean-Marc Fenet, Minister Counsellor and Head of the Economic Services for India and South Asia, Embassy of France. The welcome remark was followed by an overview on Macro Economics by Mr. Patrick Pillon, Regional Financial Counselor, Embassy of France.

The macro-economic view was followed by the budget analysis and synopsis by SKP Group. Mr. Nishit Parik, Associate Director, SKP along with Mr. Lucky Ahuja, Senior Manager - Indirect Tax, SKP presented the outcomes. The presentation was succeeded by a panel consisting of Mr. Jean-Marc Fenet, Minister Counsellor and Head of the Economic Services for IndiaMr. Sumeet Anand, Vice President IFCCI and Mr. Nishit Parikh, Associate Director, SKP. The discussion was based on the key outcomes of the Budget on Indian Economy and businesses. Speaking at the panel, Mr. Fenet highlighted the fact that “India needs significant changes and streamlining in the fields of healthcare, infrastructure and education to formalise the growth prospects as a nation. While there are a number of opportunities, focusing on these key areas is important”. The successful seminar was attended by approximately 60+ delegates from varied sectors followed by networking tea.
