New Delhi : India - Monaco Business Forum
The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) in partnership with the Monaco Economic Board (MEB) welcomed in Delhi between the 2nd and the 5th February 2019, a delegation of 19 companies from the Sovereign State of Monaco, on the occasion of the first official visit in India of H.S.H Albert II, Prince of Monaco.
The companies from the delegation were of various sectors of activity such as IT/Innovation, Logistics and Transport, Insurance, Health and Well-Being and Aviation amongst many others.
The main objective of this delegation visit to New Delhi was for the companies to explore the endless opportunities that the Indian market has to offer but also understand its business environment and culture.
The programme kicked-off with a Cultural visit of Delhi with guided tours of the Great Mosque and its surroundings that is the Jama Masjid, and a visit of the Red Fort.
We then organised, in partnership with the MEB and FICCI, an Economic Forum on Monday 4th February at the premises of FICCI New Delhi, in the presence of H.S.H Albert II, Prince of Monaco, and Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu, who addressed the crowd and said, the list of sectors for cooperation between India and Monaco is endless starting from fin-tech, financial services and banking to tourism and healthcare services and the opportunities are innumerable. The official ceremony ended with an MOU signing between a SBM Offshore, a company selling systems and services to the offshore oil and gas industry and Nauvata Engineering Pvt Ltd., a leading Engineering & Project Management company, providing world class Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management services to oil and gas companies worldwide.
This opening ceremony was followed by a B2B session organised by IFCCI for each company from the delegation, where pre-selected Indian companies were invited to meet their relevant counterpart from the Monaco delegation and where fruitful discussions were held on possible business synergies.
The programme of each company in India continued on the 5th of February with individual targeted company visits throughout Delhi for some, and for others an Interactive session on Doing Business in India at the Pernod Ricard office in Cyber City Gurgaon. The session was animated by experts from Trilegal, Fidellis Investment Management and finally Pernod Ricard where IFCCI President and CEO of Pernod Ricard, Mr. Guillaume Girard-Reydet, presented the success story of his company in India.
Finally, on Tuesday 5th February 2019 evening, to end this delegation visit to India, was organised a Dinner Reception, by H.E, Mr. Patrick Medecin, Ambassador of Monaco to India, in the presence of various Indian business leaders and special guests, to celebrate Indo-Monegasque relations.
