New Delhi : IFCCI General Counsel & Corporate Affairs Committee Meeting FY 19-20

IFCCI organized its second General Counsel & Corporate Affairs Committee Meeting for FY 2019-20 on Friday, 03rd January 2020 at Pernod Ricard’s office in Gurugram.

The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry successfully conducted it’s second General Counsel & Corporate Affairs Committee Meeting for FY 2019-20 on Friday, 03rd January 2020 at Pernod Ricard’s office in Gurugram.

The meeting started with reiterating the discussion points from the last meeting to form a concrete agenda and roadmap for the next eight months. 

Mr. Rajiv Chauhan, Chairman of IFCCI General Counsels and Corporate Affairs Heads Committee and General Counsel at Pernod Ricard initiated the discussion and highlighted the two key issues to be focused on:
1.    SAPIN II Law - Awareness, Compliance Rating, Redressal
2.    Tax Issues and Litigation – Alternate dispute resolution mechanisms (Mediation between French companies, CAG and others)

The Committee identified advocacy meetings and knowledge sharing events as the key form of activities with a focus on SAPIN II Awareness and Compliance, Tax & Litigation, Ease of Doing Business and POSH as core topics.

It was agreed to bring out these issues to the larger group of General Counsels and Corporate Affairs and organize a meeting with them and the French Embassy in India to come up with a White Paper on the issues, experiences and recommendations on behalf of IFCCI General Counsels and Corporate Affairs Committee.
