Mumbai : Logistics & Maritime Committee Meeting

The ‘Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry successfully conducted its first Logistics and Maritime Committee Meeting for FY 2019-20 on Tuesday, 16th April 2019 in Mumbai.

The session started with a brief introduction and welcome by Mr. Bruno Bronquard, Regional Director of IFCCI Mumbai which was followed by selfintroduction of members present for the meeting.

Mr. Vaibhav Vohra, MD - Continental Carriers Pvt Ltd and Chairman of the IFCCI Logistics and Maritime Committee commenced the welcome address to the members followed by an introduction of our guest speaker Mr. Raviraj Rodrigues, Supply Chain Director – Alstom Transport. Mr. Raviraj Rodrigues spoke about supply chain practices, scope and best practices followed at Alstom Transport along with the key challenges it faces in the Indian market.

He also spoke about the need for developing manufacturing talent and supply base, infrastructure capabilities through partners(Warehousing, Transportation, Ports) and integration of technology in supply chain processes (RPA, Block Chain, IOT).

The session was followed by a very interactive and rich discussion between the members and the speaker.
