Many fans of Rajasthan at this Indo-French do

Gala dinner for networking: Tourism, culture and heritage were the keywords being discussed among guests at the annual gala dinner of Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI). The dinner, which was more like a "networking platform to share ideas in business and tourism", was attended by the French ambassador Alexandre Ziegler. Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur was a special guest for the evening. The evening was specially curated with Indian and French elements (in food and music) to highlight the ties between the two countries.

French ambassador's family holiday in Rajasthan: The French ambassador and his wife Veronique Ziegler told us that they are planning a holiday in Rajasthan to make their first Diwali in India special. "I know that Diwali is festival of lights and it is a festival where the entire family gets together and celebrates, so we will also celebrate it with family. We are planning to spend the festival in Jaipur and then we will go to Udaipur, we have been told that the city of lakes looks beautiful when it is all lit up," said Veronique. The ambassador added, "Whenever you mention India to any Frenchman, he would say, "Oh Rajasthan!" So Rajasthan is the first place that comes to mind when you talk about India and its heritage. We are very excited to see the place. There are many beautiful countries across the globe, but there are very few countries that are as engaged as India and France are in preserving and promoting heritage while embracing modernity and innovation."

Strengthening relations: Arvind Singh Mewar said that he keeps travelling to Delhi for different things and this time it was the "promotion of Indo-French relations and collaborations" that brought him here. "This is all about strengthening relationship between two countries," he said.
