IIT-R Inks Agreement With French Varsity

Dehradun: In a first, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT-R), on Wednesday, signed an agreement for Joint Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme with the University of Strasbourg (Unistra), France. The two institutes will now jointly supervise PhD thesis and offer a joint degree.

“We at IIT-R are looking forward to this co-operation with Université de Strasbourg. We believe this will not only lead to the betterment of research but also further Indo-French ties. This is the first such agreement signed among institutes/universities of India and France,” said Ajit Chaturvedi, director of IIT-R.
