IFCCI's first Logistics and Maritime Committee virtual networking meeting for the financial year 2021-22 was organized on Thursday, 30th July 2021 under the new leadership of the chairperson and vice-chairperson.
Ms. Payal S. Kanwar (Director General) commenced the session, she presented IFCCI Sectoral Committees and functional Committees and the activities conducted in the past and welcomed Mr. Vaibhav Vohra Managing Director, Continental Carriers and Mr. Raviraj Rodrigues, Director, Global Supply Chain Alstom and Capt. Ram Iyer, Vice-President, Seahorse Shipping Pvt. Ltd. as the new leaders of the committee Mr. Vaibhav Vohra, then briefed regarding last FY activities of the committee and award won by L&M committee as Best performing sectoral committee in IFBA 20-21, followed by Mr. Raviraj shared his experience, engagements of last year and survey survey results conducted last year and set the context for the interactive session considering COVID situation.
Further, almost 20 industry experts gave introductions and discussed the relevant topics for FY 21-22; the session involved high-level perspective sharing and discussed the prospects of the committee moving forward. Some of the key topics which came up to covered in this financial year by the IFCCI Logistics and Maritime committee are Joint Committee collaborations, focus on Rail Industry, advocacy events to address key issues in transportation sector, Challenges with customs, foreign trade and clearances, sharing and ease of best practices, EXIM Policy, Import & Export Business.
Further Capt. Ram Iyer- welcomed and introduced guest of honour- Mr. Sudhir Kanvinde, Former Director, IPA (Nominee Advisor Niti Ayog & IPA) who gave a detailed presentation on NLP and ULIP followed by intensive Q&A and discussion with the participants.
The IFCCI Logistics and Maritime Committee is supported by Annual Patron PSA (Priti Suri & Associates) for FY 21-22. The session was interactive and insightful and concluded with Vote of thanks by Ms. Rishika Roy, Head - Committees & Events (North)
