IFCCI under the aegis of HR Committee organised a webinar on ‘Employer and Employee rights around Covid-19 Vaccination’ on 28th September 2021. Mr. Nasir Shaikh, Vice President, Head of HR India, Atos Global IT Solutions & Services India & Vice-Chairperson IFCCI HR Committee set the context of the meeting and introduced our speaker, Mr. Atul Gupta, Partner, Trilegal. Atul discussed various aspects concerning vaccination of employees. He explained legal implications on making the vaccines mandatory, penalizing non-vaccinated employees, asking the vaccination status of the employees, dealing with employees refusing to get vaccinated, etc. Atul also discussed various case studies of different states in India, stating their stand on the subject. In the end, Atul discussed what employers can do to assure maximum safety and security of their employees as well as the organisation. The session ended with an interactive Q&A session. The closing remarks and vote of thanks was shared by Mr. Shrikant Lonikar, Former CHRO, Pernod Ricard, South Asia and Gulf & India & Chairman IFCCI HR Committee.
