IFCCI CSR CONCLAVE AND AWARDS 2022 (FOURTH EDITION)

The CSR Committee of IFCCI organised the fourth edition of IFCCI CSR Conclave and Awards 2022 on 23rd November 2022 at the Hyatt Regency, New Delhi.

The CSR Committee of Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) organised the fourth edition of IFCCI CSR Conclave and Awards 2022 on 23rd November 2022 at the Hyatt Regency, New Delhi, in the presence of H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Lenain, Ambassador of France to India and Mr. P K Sinha, IAS (Retd), Former Cabinet Secretary to the Government of India and Member-Advisory Board, EBTC.

Mr. Anurag Pratap, Chairperson, IFCCI CSR Committee & CSR Leader, Capgemini India welcomed the participants and the highlighted the objective of this flagship event on CSR being organized by IFCCI every year, which is to bring together all the CSR stakeholders and to provide a forum to them to meet, discuss and share each other’s learnings and experiences from their CSR initiatives across the country.

This was followed by the CXO Panel Discussion on ‘From CSR to ESG - Decoding ESG’ wherein Mr. Ramanathan Ramakrishnan, Vice Chairperson, IFCCI CSR Committee & VP-Quality and Head-CSR, Renault Nissan Technology and Business Centre India was in conversation with Ms. Manisha Khosla Sinha, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, Brand & Communications, BNP Paribas India; Ms. Yashika Singh, Executive Vice President-Corporate Affairs, Communications and S&R, Pernod Ricard India and Ms. Veena Iyer, Head of Communications and Citizenship, Société Générale Global Solution Centre who talked about their CSR initiatives and strong commitment for ESG in India.

IFCCI also launched its CSR Initiative/Department at the event, with an aim to collaborate with

its member companies and CSR Heads to undertake different CSR Projects across the country.

Mr. Sumeet Anand, President, IFCCI and Ms. Payal S. Kanwar, Director General of IFCCI, said that this department was the need of the hour to promote responsible CSR as a combined showcase of French companies in India, which will collectively enable Governments, companies, NGOs, communities and stakeholders at large who are committed to create affecting impact via inclusive CSR.

H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Lenain, Ambassador of France to India on this occasion mentioned that he was extremely proud to highlight the commendable efforts of French companies towards boosting their CSR activities in India, across fields such as education, sustainability, healthcare, skilling and more. As both the economies recover from a two-year pandemic, this commitment shows that French companies in India are here for the long run and play an active role in contributing to India’s social and economic development.

Mr. P K Sinha, Former Cabinet Secretary to the Government of India and Member-Advisory Board, EBTC, appreciated the strong commitments and the immense CSR work undertaken by the French and Indian companies across the country and mentioned that these SDG areas are also in line with the Government’s policy. He also offered his support for IFCCI’s CSR Initiative.

The Conclave showcased CSR projects of top French companies in India and recognized their efforts by presenting awards for the Best CSR Projects in different categories based on criteria such as Business-based social purpose, innovative CSR initiatives reinforcing the company’s business purpose, Clear theory of change, impact & measurement, Concentrated efforts including employee volunteering. A Compendium on CSR Activities of French member companies in India highlighting their CSR projects, the impact and the beneficiaries was also prepared and displayed at the event.

The event was attended by 100+ participants including CXOs, CSR heads of Indian and French companies, NGOs and not-for-profit organisations.

Several NGOs also showcased their CSR work through their kiosks and interacted with the CSR Heads of the corporates present on the occasion.
