IFCCI CEO's Roundtable Meeting
IFCCI launched its CEO Committee by organizing the first IFCCI CEO’s Committee meeting with 40 member CEOs at the Leela Palace, New Delhi.
Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) launched its CEO Committee by organizing the first IFCCI CEO’s Committee meeting with 40 member CEOs at the Leela Palace, New Delhi.
Mr. Sumeet Anand, President, IFCCI and Ms. Payal S. Kanwar, Director General, IFCCI convened the meeting and highlighted the purpose of the IFCCI CEOs Committee. The Session threw light on the following:
- French companies in India are performing very well and have strong growth plans due to large scale opportunities
- Indian government reforms have been supportive of these plans
- India is an emerging efficient manufacturing base and is playing a new role in global supply chain in an increasing number of industries
Ms. Anuradha Das Mathur moderated the session where we ran a ‘business sentiment dipstick’ as India emerges from the pandemic with a renewed focus on the economy.
The engaging discussion spanned across industries from Agribusiness & Food, Energy, Defence and Aerospace, Consumer Goods and Services and Luxury, Industries, all of which are key for India and France. The CEOs shared their insights on the dynamism of Indo-French business relations and discussion revolved around several aspects like ease in taxation policies, opportunities in the chemical industry in India, infrastructural challenges, need for representations to Government of India, etc.
The Hon’ble Minister for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness, Mr. Franck Riester, the Ambassador of France to India, H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Lenain and Member of the French National Assembly for French Residents abroad, Mme Anne Genetet alongwith other delegates also graced the Meeting in the second part.
The IFCCI CEOs Committee comprises more than 100 leaders of Indian and French companies.
