Accor, the global leader in augmented hospitality has announced that it has been awarded the ‘Resilience in Business During Covid-19’ award at the Indo-French Business Awards (IFBA) 2021, organized by the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI), which is the most active bilateral Chamber of India with 700 Indian and French member companies spread across India and France.

This was the third edition of the Indo-French Business Awards that honour excellence and acknowledge the accomplishments of Indian and French companies, based in India and France. This year, the awards were hosted in the presence of French Ambassador, H.E. Emmanuel Lenain and Honourable Minister for Roads, Transport and Highways and MSME, Nitin Gadkari.

“We feel honoured to have received this award by the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry and would like to thank the jury for this recognition. Acknowledgements like these drive us to achieve greater heights. The pandemic has been disruptive, but our teams demonstrated extraordinary leadership, agility and understanding, this award is a testimony to that”

said Mr. Puneet Dhawan, Senior VP Operations, Accor India & South Asia.

The ‘Resilience in Business During Covid-19’ award was aimed at recognizing a company that built agile and responsible practices for long-term operational resilience in business during the COVID 19 crisis.

To better support team members during the pandemic, Accor in India initiated the Accor Employee Wellness and Assistance Programme [EWAP], which allowed them to get access to trained counsellors.

Accor also launched the ALL Heartist Fund as a Covid-19 special purpose vehicle, aimed at assisting Accor’s 300,000 team members.

As part of many other initiatives, Accor’s Heartist network helped frontline health workers, distressed communities and law & order officials by distributing food, hygiene essentials along with other necessary items.
