The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) organized a Webinar on PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan. This was an initiative of IFCCI Logistics and Supply Chain Committee.
Ms. Rishika Roy, Head – Committees & Partnerships, IFCCI welcomed the participants and introduced the speaker for the Session, Mr. Pratyush Kumar, Senior Investment Specialist, Invest India.
Capt. Ram Iyer, Vice Chairperson, IFCCI Logistics & Supply Chain Committee and Vice President (Operations), Seahorse Ship Agencies Pvt Ltd highlighted the context for the Session and mentioned about the changing trends in the logistics sector along with how the PM Gati Shakti Master Plan will be a game change for India’s Infrastructure.
The expert speaker for the session was Mr. Pratyush Kumar, Senior Investment Specialist at Invest India. He leads the Construction and Logistics sector teams at Invest India. In his presentation, he talked about the national infrastructure pipeline, national monetization pipeline and the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan along with the National Logistics Policy 2022. He highlighted that these policies provide a roadmap to develop a technologically enabled, integrated, cost-efficient, resilient, sustainable, and trusted logistics ecosystem in the country. He explained in detail about the Industrial Townships, Roads, Highways, Railway, Aviation, Airport Infrastructure, Ports & Shipping and Water Infrastructure and the impact of these developments on India’s economic growth.
It was an insightful Session that was followed by an interactive Q&A session.
Mr. Damien SAUVAGE, Vice Chairperson, IFCCI Logistics and Supply Chain Committee & Deputy Commercial Director, CMA CGM Agencies, in his concluding remarks, mentioned that the Gati Shakti Plan will reduce the logistics cost and will surely benefit the foreign investors in India. He further thanked Invest India for a comprehensive presentation and enriching discussions.
