IFCCI in association with ASA and Associates LLP, organized a webinar on French Nationals in India: DeTaxing the Covid Impact on Monday, 12th October,2020.
Ms. Aarushi Gautam, Assistant manager – Events & Membership, IFCCI, gave an overview of the topic and introduced the speaker.
The session was led by Mr. Sunil Arora, Partner Taxation, Co-practice Head, ASA and Associates LLP, who briefly discussed the impacts of Covid on employers & explained some of the reasons of expats for leaving country overnight without clearing their taxes and stated rules of tax for expats.
Furthermore, he mentioned some of the tax concerns for expats, which included fiscal taxes and some questions regarding their personal possessions and company provided benefits.
He even highlighted some key decision taken by government during this pandemic. While concluding his presentation he gave some of the ways to overcome these taxing obstacles.
Ms. Sanaya Sharma, from IFCCI, moderated the Q and A session.
