Roundtable with the Government of Karnataka (IT, BT and Electronics department)
IFCCI conducted a roundtable session in partnership with the Government of Karnataka's IT, BT and Electronics department.
On Friday, 8th December 2023, the IFCCI (Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry) conducted a roundtable session in partnership with the Government of Karnataka
This session was chaired by Dr. Ekroop Caur, IAS, Secretary, Department of Electronics IT BT, Commerce & Industries Department, Government of Karnataka, and Mr. H V Darshan, IAS, Director, Department of Electronics IT BT, Government of Karnataka. IFCCI brought together select French investors in Karnataka such as Dassault Systemes, Technicolor, Amadeus Software Labs India Pvt. Ltd, Sopra Steria, FIME and Astralux.
The event commenced with the Welcome remarks presented by Dr. Ekroop Caur succeeded by a presentation by Ms. Divya Sriram Raghavachar, Senior Consultant, EY, that took the participants through the development of the IT, BT and Electronics Sector in Karnataka, and new policies in the state by the government. This was followed by Welcome remarks by Mr. Yohann Samuel - Regional Director (Southern Region), IFCCI.
Following this, Mr. Priyank Prakash, Senior Manager – Events & Membership (KA, TS & AP Regions), IFCCI moderated the roundtable discussion between the French Investors and the Govt. Authorities.
The objectives of the meeting were as follows:

Understand issues faced by companies, and support required from Government of Karnataka

Seek suggestions to further enhance the ecosystem

Government of Karnataka to share policy reforms
The discourse delved into crucial matters, fostering meaningful exchange of experiences, ideas and potential collaborations which significantly contributed to the overarching objectives.
