Navigating Careers in the Indian Luxury Sector: IFCCI Career Booster Session III
IFCCI, under the aegis of its Higher Education and HR Committees is organised the 3rd Session under its Career Booster series, on 30th April 2025.

On 30th April 2025, the HR and Higher Education Committees of the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), in collaboration with the Institut Français en Inde (IFI), hosted the third edition of its Career Booster series, turning the spotlight on emerging career opportunities in the Luxury and E-Commerce sectors.
The session commenced with a warm welcome from Ms. Jyotsna Mansukhani, Head – HR & Recruitment Services at IFCCI, who set the tone by highlighting the growing interest and relevance of Indo-French partnerships in shaping global careers.
This was followed by Special Remarks from Mr. Grégor Trumel, Counsellor for Education, Science & Culture at the French Embassy in India & Country Director, IFI, who talked about France’s strategic commitment to strengthening educational and economic ties with India, referencing the Choose France initiative as a cornerstone for academic mobility and bilateral cooperation.
The heart of the session was a thought-provoking fireside conversation between Ms. Almona Bhatia, Chief Business Development Officer at Tata CLiQ, and Ms. Maud LE BARS, South Asia Area Manager, Omnes Education & Chairperson, IFCCI Higher Education Committee. They discussed the evolving Indian luxury market and the growing presence of French brands such as Chanel. They touched upon key themes, from the influence of import duties and the rise of e-commerce to the need for a skilled, culturally attuned workforce. A central message was the importance of pairing digital reach with authentic, human-driven storytelling to build meaningful brand experiences.
The session concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Mohit Anand, Director of Operations – India at emlyon business school & Vice-Chairperson, IFCCI Higher Education Committee, he reflected on the shifting aspirations of Indian consumers and the role of academia and industry in cultivating a talent pool that can drive innovation and growth in the luxury segment.
