Karnataka Dy CM Parameshwara Emplans For France On A Study Tour On Solid Waste Management

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara, who also holds Bengaluru City and Urban Development portfolio, today left for France for a week-long study tour on Solid Waste Management.

Waste management is proving to be the great challenge for the government in tech-hub Bengaluru with growing metropolis producing over 4000 tonnes of solid and wet waste.

Dr Parameshwara will be staying in France till December 3. He would be studying the mechanism and technology adopted for solid waste management in this European country which has been rated as one of the best.

He said the intention of his six-day tour was to study and adopt of solid waste management in France.

He was accompanied by Bruhat Bengaluru Mananagara Palike Commissioner Manjunath Prakash and Urban Development Department Additional Chief Secretary Mahendra Jain.
