IFCCI's General Counsel and Corporate Affairs Club organised a virtual meet and greet along-with a discussion on 'Digital & AI - Perspectives on Legal, Compliance and Governance', on 11th March 2024.
The Session enlightened members on:
- The role AI and new-age digital tools can play for legal, compliance and governance functions in companies
- Advantages and challenges of employing AI and other digital tools
- Importance of responsible AI and need for human oversight
- What steps can companies take to start integrating AI and other digital tools in legal, compliance and governance functions
- The future of AI and other digital tools in legal, compliance and governance functions
Ms. Lubinisha Saha, General Counsel India and International, Airbus, Ms. Swati Shah, Corporate Counsel, India and South Asia, Accor India, Ms. Farnawaz Mistry, Head – Legal, Roquette India and Mr. Vikram Bhardwaj, General Counsel & Company Secretary, Safran India were in discussion with Ms. Varuna Bhanrale, Partner, Trilegal, wherein they shared their insights on the subject.
These discussions were followed by interesting case study presentations by Mr. Ganesh Parameswaran, VP & General Counsel – Group Supply Chain, MEA, India & APAC, BIC Cello and Ms. Priyam Dhamakar, Legal and Compliance Director, Servier India. They shared their practical experiences and learnings bringing out the reality and challenges that they have faced while integrating AI and digital tools in their respective legal and compliances functions.
