IFCCI's first Technology Committee meeting in the year 2022-2023
The IFCCI Technology committee organized its first meeting this year on Friday, 2nd September 2022 online.

The meeting started with a quick background on the IFCCI Committees by Ms. Rishika Roy, Head – Committees & Partnerships. Thereafter, Mr Priyank Prakash, Senior Manager - Events & Membership (KA, TS & AP REGIONS) and SPOC for the IFCCI Technology Committee welcomed the new leadership of the committee: Chairperson Mr Clifton Menezes, Executive Vice President, ADMnext Group Offer Leader & India Portfolio Leader Capgemini India; and Vice-Chairperson Mr Christophe Mariette, Chairman, Lyra India.
Mr Clifton Menezes commenced the session by briefly introducing the committee and its objectives. He emphasized on how digital transformation is more important than ever in a post-pandemic world. Mr Christophe Mariette highlighted FinTech as one of the most active domains in India with tremendous opportunities available in the country.
Succeeding which, Mr Priyank Prakash moderated the session and opened the floor to the committee members. The participants included business leaders and industry experts who shared their ideas and suggestions to help design the charter of the committee for the upcoming year. Some of these recommendations, questions and themes included:
- Webinar on Cyber Security Awareness focused on SMEs.
- Panel discussions on innovation, emerging tech, and its implementation.
- Open forum discussion with 3-4 industry experts on ‘what is innovation, where is it going, what is its applicability?’
- How could we have greater collaboration on domain expertise and scaling up opportunities?
- How French companies could leverage the Indian advantage and vice versa. Including EU India discussions.
- An Indo-French corridor to commemorate 75 years of Indian Independence was proposed through a potential webinar on the role, advancement, and involvement of technology in India.
- Joint Committee collaborative meetings.
The Chairperson emphasized that technology brings about more value when understood in context with other industries. The members offered support for the initiatives mentioned above along with expressing their interest in collaborating & participating in the committee initiatives for the entire year along with contributing with their domain knowledge.
Overall, the meeting was very interactive, attended well, and the session concluded with a vote of thanks by the IFCCI team.
