The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI), in collaboration with Counsel Quest, hosted an insightful virtual session on “Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) Act: Building Synergies and Trust” on 16th December 2024.
The session commenced with a warm welcome by Ms. Rishika Roy, Head - Committees and Partnerships, IFCCI, setting the tone for an engaging and informative discussion.
The theme presentation was led by Ms. Jyoti Grover, Partner at Counsel Quest and Ms. Navmallika Gupta, Partner at Counsel Quest who provided a comprehensive overview of the PoSH Act, marking its 11th anniversary. They highlighted the critical role of Internal Committees (IC) and Local Committees (LC) in ensuring compliance, fostering trust, and creating a safe workplace environment. The speakers shared insights on recent Supreme Court directives, interim relief measures, and the importance of maintaining confidentiality during investigations.
The session featured an engaging Fireside Chat on 'Enhancing Workplace Safety and Inclusivity', moderated by Ms. Jyoti Grover. The panelists included Ms. Suneeta Sonawane, Manager Regulatory Affairs - India, Roquette and Ms. Rashmi Joshi, Application Director, Dassault Systèmes India. The discussion explored best practices for PoSH compliance, innovative strategies for employee sensitization, and the importance of mental health support and gender-neutral policies.
This was followed by an interactive Q&A, where members actively engaged with the speakers, gaining valuable perspectives on workplace safety, complaint procedures, and the evolving implementation of the PoSH framework.
