IFCCI Committees Annual National Meet 2023
IFCCI organized the 1st edition of its Committees’ Annual National Meet on 5th October 2023, in New Delhi.

The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) organized the 1st edition of its Committees’ Annual National Meet on 5th October 2023, in New Delhi.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Balamurugan D., Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and Mr. Benoit Gauthier, Minister Counsellor and Head of the Economic Department, French Embassy in India.
Mr. Benoit Renard, Vice President – North, IFCCI & Managing Director, Air Liquide India, welcomed the guests and shared the idea behind launching IFCCI committees that provide a forum to members to meet, and exchange business ideas and best practices related to a specific sector or business function. He highlighted that the Committees have brought in a lot of vibrancy and relevance to its members over the last five years and hence encouraged members to continue to actively participate and engage.
Ms. Payal S. Kanwar shared an overview of each Committee and presented the activities organised under several Committees. She also welcomed the new Leadership for this year, that is appointed for a one-year mandate to drive the agenda of their respective committees based on their knowledge and expertise on the specific industry.
This was followed by two Panel Discussions – brief presentations by Chairperson of each Committee on the recent past activities, the latest industry trends, the roadmap and the assistance required from the government of India to ease their business operations in India. The first Panel covered IFCCI Functional Committees - CFO, CSR, General Counsel & Corporate Affairs and Marcom while the second Panel covered IFCCI Sectoral Committees - Consumer Goods & Services, Defence & Aerospace, Energy & Utilities, Food & Agri, Industries, Logistics & Supply Chain, Luxury, Mobility, Retail and Technology. The Panels were moderated by Ms. Rishika Roy, Head – Committees & Partnerships, IFCCI.
Mr. Benoit Gauthier, Minister Counsellor and Head of the Economic Department, Embassy of France in India appreciated the structure of IFCCI Committees and acknowledged them as an essential component of the Chamber in contributing towards the strengthening of French presence in India by way of uplifting policy advocacy to ease the process of doing business in India for French companies.
Appreciating the format of IFCCI Committees, representing 17 diverse sectors and segments, Mr. Balamurugan D., Joint Secretary, DPIIT, Govt. of India reassured India's positioning as one of the leading choices for French investors to grow their businesses in different sectors. He also emphasized the embarkment of 25 years of India's strategic bilateral relations, the re-occurrence of state visits between Indian and French authorities which strengthens our bilateral, political and cultural relations, and touched upon India's strength as the youngest population in the world making it an ideal investment destination for FDI. In view of the objectives and suggestions shared by the Committee Leaders, Shri. Balamurugan proposed one-to-one meetings with the Committee leaders of all sectors as a follow-up in near future and assured of assisting the French companies in India.
