Analysis of the Union Budget of India 2023 and its impact on businesses
IFCCI in Bangalore in association with the Consulate General of France in Bangalore organized a session on the Analysis of the Union Budget of India
On Friday, 3rd February, the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) in Bangalore in association with the Consulate General of France in Bangalore organized a session on the Analysis of the Union Budget of India 2023 and its impact on businesses.
The session commenced with an address by Mr. Thierry Berthelot, Consul General of France in Bangalore who welcomed all the participants and speakers for the day, followed by Mr. Priyank Prakash, Senior Manager - Events & Membership (KA, TS & AP REGIONS) who introduced all the speakers.
At the session on the Analysis of the Union Budget of India 2023 and its impact on businesses, Mr. K Giriprakash moderated the panel and was in discussion with Mr. Avneep Mehta, Managing Partner, MOJ & Associates, Mr. Anand Madhusoodanan, Director- Global Markets, HSBC, and Mr. Sarthak Pradhan, Assistant Professor, The Takshashila Institution.
They all shared the manifold implications the budget will have from an individual, business, bureaucratic, and national perspective. The panellists discussed the significant highlights of the proposed Budget i.e., continuity of budget from FY 22-23, increase in the income tax slab, reduction on fertilizer subsidiary, result based budgeting and analysis (RBB), and much more. Post the panel discussion, the floor was open to the audience for a Q&A session which was very invigorating.
Overall, the session was attended by close to 30 participants and was well received.
