Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit: 60 French firms eye Gujarat for business

GANDHINAGAR: Around 60 companies from France showed their interest to invest in Gujarat on Wednesday during the country seminar of France held at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS). They were most interested in the renewable energy sector including waste-to-energy ventures, and in aviation.

While speaking at the seminar, Jean Marc Fenet, French Ambassador to India, said that since 1998 France-India relations have received a multi-dimensional boost. Fenet said Gujarat is a very dynamic state. "France has the largest foreign delegation of 60 delegates in the Vibrant Summit," Fenet added.

The chairman of the Gujarat chapter of FICCI said, "France's gesture of ensuring a large participation at the Vibrant Summit will further strengthen relations between the two countries."
