  2. Members of IFCCI Logistics and Maritime committee to be part of other registered forums like FFFAI to represent with various government agencies.
  3. Prepare a database of Logistics head from various companies and invite them to be a part of the committee. To know the current challenges they are facing with the logistics & maritime industries in regard to their local requirements.
  4. Conference on Technology and Innovation in Logistics to be planned in Q3.
  5. There was a suggestion by members to have a newsletter for updates from the Logistics and Maritime sector and to be shared with the committee members.
  6. It was suggested to get in touch with French Maritime Cluster and Business France to build a strong platform through this committee and member engagement.
  7. In the service tax regime, there was no Service Tax on Imports Duty, which has been applied now in GST. There is a concept called FOC (Free of Charge) invoices, which is used regularly by most manufacturing firms/ consumer firms which import from their parent company to satisfy Indian consumer needs who are facing defects during warranty period. The department now charges GST basically on the duty which is applied on a free invoice. The importer is not able to take this Input & set off against any output.
  8. There are logistics start-ups in India, which are ushering new ways / methods of doing business. If our counterpart in France is interested. We could bring them to face each other, to learn, cooperate, and co-invest in each other.
