Mumbai : IFCCI Retail Committee - 3rd Meeting

The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry Retail Committee successfully conducted its third meeting with an interesting seminar on Omnicommerce: an opportunity or a disruption for the Indian retail sector on Tuesday, 4 th September 2018 in Mumbai. Mr. Jean-Philippe Garraux, (Corporate & Property Coach, Decathlon Sports India) & Chairman of IFCCI Retail Committee welcomed the participants present for the committee meeting.

The seminar started off with a very insightful presentation by Mr. Bhushan Patil, President of Paytm Mall – 3 rd largest market place in India. Mr. Patil shared his expertise on payments and e-com systems connecting both online and offline consumers & businesses across India. His presentation was followed by Mr. Nihir Parikh, Chief Business Office at Nykaa.com - an ecommerce store that is focused on beauty and wellness products. Mr. Parikh shared his expertise on how an e-commerce brand ventured into going offline as being Omnichannel is the way forward for any business to be successful.

Post this, a dynamic speaker, Mr. BS Nagesh, Founder of TRRAIN empowered the entire audience with his speech about how with the right amount of commitment and the right amount of enthusiasm the retail industry can make a big difference. We also had Mr. Sameer Sah, Associate Partner at Khaitan & Co who briefly presented the services and expertise proposed by Khaitan & Co.

The session was closed by Mr. Nicolas Simon, Deputy CEO- SBI Mutual Fund and Vice President- IFCCI western chapter and Chairman – Banking & Finance committee.
