IFCCI organized the 4th Edition of the Indo-French Investment Conclave on 8th October 2021 at Novotel HICC, Hyderabad.
The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) organized the 4th Edition of its flagship event, the Indo-French Investment Conclave.
The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) organized the 4th Edition of its flagship event, the Indo-French Investment Conclave, this time focusing on the State of Telangana on 8th October 2021 at Novotel HICC, Hyderabad. The earlier successful editions of the Indo-French Investment Conclave were organized in Nagpur, Goa and Tamil Nadu that led to announcements of French investments in the respective locations in India.
IFCCI brought together H.E Mr. Emmanuel Lenain, Ambassador of France to India, Mr. K. T Rama Rao, Hon'ble Minister for IT, E&C, MA & UD and Industries & Commerce Departments, Government of Telangana, Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of I&C and IT Departments, Government of Telangana and CXOs consisting of existing and potential French and Indian investors to Hyderabad with an aim to understand and strengthen investment opportunities in the State.
The delegation commenced the day with visits to the facilities of French companies that successfully operate in the state, such as Safran Electrical and Power & Safran Aircraft Engines in the Defence & Aerospace Sector and the R&D laboratory of Mane India, manufacturers of flavours and fragrances catering to the FMCG sector. The Conclave commenced in the afternoon with a keynote speech by Mr. Krishna Bodanapu, MD & CEO, Cyient to share his thoughts as a homegrown Indian technology giant born out of Hyderabad with a worldwide footprint including France of his experience as an investor in the State followed by a Case Study of an important Indo-French partnership of GMR-ADP presented by Mr. Antoine Crombez, Deputy CEO, GMR Airports. This was succeeded by two Panel Discussions focusing on several key industries in the state with leaders in the respective spaces and the event concluded with the Plenary Session, where the Honourable Minister welcomed French Investments in the state and spoke in detail about the Ease of Doing Business.
The conclave was followed by a closed-door Roundtable Interaction of the Government Authorities with select CEOs of French companies.
H.E Mr. Emmanuel Lenain, Ambassador of France to India said “Many French groups have already invested in Telangana, particularly in biotech, IT and aeronautics. These Indo-French business endeavours in key sectors in Telangana also help to strengthen the strategic partnership between our two countries.”
Mr. Sumeet Anand, President, IFCCI said, “Telangana has a very healthy investment climate with strong leadership, investor-friendly reforms, strong cluster competency in key sectors, innovation and digital acceleration along with increased urbanisation and consumption levels. We believe employment opportunities will grow hand-in-hand with investment inflows and it is a win-win situation for all. Thus, the warm embrace by the leading French corporates comes as no surprise and IFCCI can confirm that French investment in Telangana will continue to accelerate in coming times.”
Mrs. Payal S Kanwar, Director General, IFCCI said, “Telangana is a key State for French investment in India and can already see the strong and successful establishment of companies like Safran, Sanofi, Mane, Monin, Capgemini, among many others. Events like these serve as the right platforms for seamless collaboration between France with the State governments of India on various levels.”
The evening ended with with an exclusive VIP Cocktail Networking Dinner which was attended by 130+ guests.
