Indo-French Business Delegation Meets Dr. Malini Shankar To Discuss EODB Initiatives
MUMBAI: The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) led an Indo-French business delegation under the aegis of the IFCCI Logistics and Maritime Committee to meet Dr. Malini Shankar, IAS, Director General Shipping to discuss Ease of Doing Business.This meeting was attended by 17 Indo-French company representatives from Maritime and Shipping sector.
This closed door session with Dr. Malini Shankar, Director General -Shipping and other officials from Customs, JNPT, DGLL and CONCOR aimed at looking deeper into issues and challenges faced by French companies basis the report presented by IFCCI along with Singhania and Co.
The impact of cabotage notification, measures taken by French Companies to register their vessels and engage in coasting trade in India, Maritime Cluster development being planned in Goa and opportunities were some of other discussion points.
The round-table meeting was attended by Mr. Jean Marc Mignon [Head of the Economic Service, Consulate General of France in India] Mr. Nicolas Simon [Deputy CEO, SBI Funds Management Pvt Ltd and Vice President, IFCCI], Mr. Vaibhav Vohra, [MD, Continental Carriers and Chairman, IFCCI Logistics & Maritime Committee] and Mr. Yann Wickers, [South Asia Regional Manager, Bollore Logistics Pvt Ltd & Vice Chairman, IFCCI Logistics & Maritime Committee] along with Indo French Business representatives, said an IFCCI release.
