IFCCI under the aegis of the Higher Education Committee organised a webinar on ‘Re-booting Education – Beating the Pandemic Blues’ on 9th September 2021. Payal S. Kanwar, Director General, IFCCI set the context of the webinar and introduced the leadership of the committee. Mr. Ashley Fernandes, Country Head India, emlyon business school, Chairman Joint-Board XAVIER-EMLYON Business School & Chairman, IFCCI Higher Education Committee, introduced and discussed the mission of the committee and speakers for the session, Dr. (Mrs.) Pankaj Mittal, Secretary General, Association of Indian Universities and Prof Pawan Budhwar, Head, Aston Business School- UK. Prof (Dr.) Shrirang Altekar, Professor & Director, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Nagpur & VC, IFCCI Higher Education Committee moderated the session.
The speakers talked about the impact of Covid-19 on the Educators and Students and how they have coped and emerged more resilient, adaptable, empathetic, and caring from this experience. They touched upon the important role of technology in ensuring learning initiatives were not disrupted. They also discussed the importance of uplifting the mental health of the teachers and students as well as the steps they had taken to do so. The webinar ended with a Q&A session moderated by Nishit Jain, Regional Director – India & South Asia, Grenoble Ecole De Management & VC, IFCCI Higher Education Committee
