IFCCI CEOs Committee Meeting

IFCCI launched its CEO Committee by organizing the first IFCCI CEO’s Committee meeting with 40 member CEOs at The Leela, Mumbai.

Mr. Sumeet Anand, President, IFCCI and Mr. Bruno Bronquard, Regional Director, IFCCI convened the meeting and highlighted the purpose of the IFCCI CEOs Committee. The Session emphasized on the topic Inflation and supply chain disruptions; are they driving up consumer prices:

  • Has COVID-19 impacted global supply chain?
  • Do you witness an increse in price and are you supporting the ‘Idea of pricing power’?
  • Is Inflation here forever?
  • Takeaways and learnings from the past 2 years – opportunities and challanges

Ms. Ipsita Das, Managing Director, Moet Hennessy moderated the session where we dived into the discusssion as India emerges from the pandemic with various industrial and economic aspects being impacted on a global scale.

The engaging discussion was a fireside chat between the energy leaders – Legrand and Prysmian India which are key players for India and France. The CEOs shared their insights on the dynamism of Indo-French business relations and discussion revolved around several aspects like post pandemic supply chain disruptions, pricising elasticity, challenges and opportunities in being digital leaders, transformation in setup and regulations, etc

Mr. Tony Berland, Chief Executive Officer, Legrand expressed his views on the post pandemic impact on business and stated that, Capacity of adaption in India is simply amazing”. We consider it as an opportunity. Market is doing well. Catching a big portion of this move while dealing with our customers, stakeholders with alot of good change. Accepting things as business is clear now. Hope it stays and continues to grow.

To which Ms. Das affirmed that this phase has made us all alot more audicious.

Furthermore, Mr. Benoit Lecuyer, Chief Executive Officer, Prysmian India on sustainable growth commented that “To push Productivity, Innovation, Sustainability and Intergration the whole staff needs to be involvedWe are implementing the concept of ‘Sublimation’ to change the form, but not the essence. One should not consume more that what earth can give us.

At the end Ms. Ipsita Das highlighted the fact that “We prepare for the worst & whatever happends we move on from there. Thats how we test our limits of how far we can go!  She concluded saying that its a mixed bag – our share of learning snipets to take back from our work. Sustainable conditions in all ways.

The IFCCI CEOs Committee talk was attended by 40 leaders from the Mumbai Chapter of Indian and French companies. This was followed by a Networking Cocktail.
