Dassault Systemes Opens 3D Experience Centre

Dassault Systemes opened its fifth global 3D experience executive centre in Chennai to showcase the real-life examples of digitalisation strategies adopted by firms across industries using 3D technology.

The centre will illustrate the usage of big data and analytics, including digital continuity in a global manufacturing company with advanced engineering capabilities from concept to sales and servicing to understand complexity, save time and reduce errors while making decision, said Samson Khaou, managing director India, Dassault Systemes.

According to him, the demonstrations would also include functional generative design, augmented and virtual reality capabilities, along with key simulation and optimisation techniques that could benefit key industrial companies.

About 30 employees are employed in this centre to help over 900 global customers in 11 sectors such as automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, energy, mining, pharma and consumer goods, among others.

“The centre would present how Dassault Systemes, as a scientific firm, is closing the gap between the virtual and real to harmonise product, nature and life for a sustainable society,” said Sylvain Laurent, executive VP, global field operations (Asia-Ocenia) worldwide business transformation, Dassault Systemes.

“Royal Enfield is a standing example. The complete piston durability of India’s first twin-engine motorcycle Interceptor and Continental 650 was achieved using our Simulia application,” said Shree Harsha, business consulting director, transportation and mobility industry, Dassault Systemes India.
