Chennai : Factory Visit To Tirumala Milk Products

IFCCI organized a factory visit to Tirumala Milk Products on Tuesday, 24th July. The Consul General of France to Pondicherry, Ms. Catherine Suard joined IFCCI members and other participants for the half day visit to the manufacturing plant at Melmaruvathur. 

Mr. Rahul Kumar, CEO- Lactalis India, Mr. Ramesh Chander Kataria, Industrial Director and Mr. Sandipan Gosh, Marketing Director – Lactalis India were present for the visit.

The visit started with a team introduction and a presentation given by Mr. Sandipan Ghosh.

This was followed by a plant tour where the team visited sections where Tirumala milk and President butter are produced. The participants were explained and introduced to the various processes of milk production and butter-making from collection and storage to quality analysis and packaging of the product.  The visit was very interesting as the participants had the opportunity to view all processes live.

The plant tour was followed by a very interesting interactive session with the representatives of Lacatalis. From procurement to the final processes of the diary products, the strategies and vision of the group in India were discussed.

The participants were also served with a wide range of products offered by Tirumala for tasting and consumption on the spot. Feedbacks from the participants were also well received and discussed by the Tirumala team.
