Bangalore : A Launch Event to Bangalore SunPedal Ride
The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) organized the launch of Bangalore leg of the Guinness World Record Clean Energy and E-Mobility Awareness Project, ‘The Sun-Pedal Ride’ on Wednesday, 14th November 2018 at the IIM Bangalore Campus.
The event took place in the presence of Shri. K J George, Honbl. Minister for Large and Medium size Industries, Govt. of Karnataka, with Chief Guests - Mr. Brijesh Nair, Project Director, Intersolar India and Mr. Andrew Hines, Co-Founder, CleanMax Solar.
The SunPedal Ride is a movement to perforate and create awareness about solar energy and clean transportation on ground with the people via interactive sessions during the journey. A Guinness World Record Holder and in the Limca Book of Records, Mr. Sushil Reddy has travelled across nine Indian states, three European countries and part of the US west coast, all on a solar-powered e-bike. Over these trips, he has cycled more than 13,000 kms and has widely been covered by international media.
On this account, IFCCI brought forth a panel of respected speakers of the Clean Energy Sector to discuss:
B2B and B2C: Challenges and opportunities for growth and adoption of solar energy and electric mobility
The panel included Mr. Jayant Joshi, Deputy Director, Digital Engineering, Bangalore Tech Center, Faurecia Clean Mobility Technical Center India; Mr. Banjit Das, Country Head, QOS Energy; Mr. Mukundan Narasimhan, Managing Director & Founder, PlaySolar Systems Pvt Ltd; Mr. Ashok Thanikonda, Senior Project Associate, World Resources Institute; Mr. Abhilash Nair, Power and EV Charging, ABB; Ms. Avani Goyal, Project Associate, TRC Solutions California; and Ms. Dhrithi Mahadevan, PhD, IIM Bangalore as the moderator.
The event brought together 100+ participants which included CxO’s from Indo-French companies and representatives of Institutions.
