The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry
in association with Kedge Business school
is organizing a webinar on
"How Soft Power and Business are Intertwined yet how little we know:
The case of K-Pop in Indonesia"
Objective of the webinar:
Understanding about Power and its form. Hard power such as economic or military is the easiest to comprehend however, there is a third kind of power - soft power - which while less concrete is also extremely important. Soft power is the ability to affect others to obtain the outcomes one wants through attraction and persuasion rather than coercion or payment. Soft power has long played a role in the decisions of government and business alike.
The aim of the webinar is to provide a discussion on this relationship (Hard and soft power) by way of showing the example of South Korea’s much-loved K-Pop stars and how they have shaped the views of Indonesians, their spending preferences and career choices.
