Annie is the Sustainable Development Leader for Decathlon India. She has worked across industries - Hospitality, BPO, KPO, IT and now retail. She is originally from Pune but a resident of Bangalore since 10 years now. 

It was just about a decade ago they thought climate change and biodiversity issues are for the next generation but it is already here and at Decathlon they believe in playing their part by taking strong actions.  

In India over the last few years they have taken 10 commitments, calling them their Happy Community Stances for Decathlon India. These actions come under five categories: Renewable Energy - Water Conservation - Waste Management - Eco Designed Products - Social Actions at our factories and local communities. All these actions are also aligned with the SD Goals of the United Nations.

As a mass producer they have a responsibility to reduce their waste generation, reduce their CO2 emissions, manufacture and sell their products responsibly. They also continue to work in their communities to ensure fairness for the workers, develop opportunities through sports for children and through skills for vulnerable youth.
