Background:

As we are all aware, consumers now practice sustainability-led behavior in their daily life. In view of their changing mind set/preferences and increasing awareness towards sustainable and fair-trade products over the last few years (e.g. preferring products with minimal packaging, minimizing food waste, using energy-efficient appliance, etc.), consumer goods companies and retailers are now aligning their business activities with these ambitions and working together to jointly implement sustainability strategies.

The objective of this Session is to discuss and deliberate on the measures being adopted and experiences of the companies in consumer goods and retail sector and the benefits that they have been deriving from these practices.
