IFCCI under the aegis of the Industries Committee organized a webinar on the topic Industry 4.0: Success Stories and Learnings
The Indo French Chamber of Commerce and Industry, under the aegis of the Industries Committee organized a webinar on the topic Industry 4.0: Success Stories and Learnings on Friday 13th December 2024.
The session commenced with opening remarks by Ms Tracy Fernandes, Senior Manager for Events and Membership, IFCCI. Mr Venu Shanbhag Executive Director, Grindwell Norton Ltd, followed this with a Welcome Remarks and introduced the core team of the Industries Committee.
Post this Ms tracy Fernandes welcomed our speakers for the event- Mr. Shivkumar Srinivasan, Chief Operating Officer,MEL Systems and Services Ltd, Mr. Saravanakumar Selvam Program Manger-Smart Factory AI and Digital twin COE, Saint Gobain, Mr. Netaji. M., Program Manager - Smart Factory Platforms Saint Gobain and Mr. Janakiraman Kandhasamy, Regional Smart factory leader,Schneider Electric.

Mel System and Services Ltd (Tire Industry)
Mr. Shivkumar Srinivasan discussed MES Solutions and the company's Growth which involves managing Around 400 machines per site across 3 plants in india. One of their objectives included creating a digital system to provide complete traceability of tires with the process parameters enabling real time visibility into various production activities

Saint Gobain
Mr. Netaji M. covered a few points on the coater process and challenges faced and solutions implemented. He shared that the successful installation of a Digital Twin significantly reduced overall adjustment time, streamlining the manufacturing process.
Mr. Saravanakumar delved into the process of manufacturing Float Glass. He showcased the implementation process and shared some valuable insights on the techniques used by Saint Gobain to overcome the shortcomings faced.

Schneider Electric
Mr. Janakiraman Kandhaswamy, discussed the smart operations ecosystem integrated at Schneider Electric. The presentation highlighted the features and architecture of Equalizer 4.0 and emphasized the process of the ‘Data Flow' use in the system.
The webinar was well attended by over 100+ participants and concluded with an interactive Q&A session. It was an insightful webinar that was well received and appreciated by all the attendees.
