IFCCI Roundtable with Shri. DK Shivakumar, Deputy Chief Minister, Govt. of Karnataka
IFCCI conducted a closed-door roundtable meeting with Shri. DK Shivakumar, Deputy Chief Minister, GoK, along with select French companies.
On Friday, 7th July 2023 the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) conducted a closed-door roundtable meeting with Shri. DK Shivakumar, Deputy Chief Minister, Govt. of Karnataka, Shri Rakesh Singh IAS, Additional Chief Secretary of Urban Development and Chairman of the BDA and Shri Tushar Giri Nath IAS, Chief Commissioner, BBMP at the Kumarakrupa Guest House in Bangalore along with select French investors to discuss how French companies can contribute to the infrastructural growth of Karnataka State & Bangalore City, and to the development of 'Brand Bangalore'.
Mr. Priyank Prakash, Senior Manager - Events & Membership, IFCCI presented the welcome remarks along with a background to this gathering and moderated the discussions. The roundtable meeting was held in the presence of Mr. Thierry Berthelot, Consul General of France in Bangalore who spoke about the very positive historic relationship that India and France share and highlighted the strong French presence in the state of Karnataka. Mr. Bertrand De La Forest Divonne, Economic Counsellor – Bangalore, Regional Economic Service, Embassy of France in India also represented the French authorities at this meeting.

The intimate roundtable session brought together the above-mentioned companies and their representatives to present their products and solutions to the govt. authorities, and a discussion by the state authorities on the possible synergies that could be foreseen. This meeting is the first of a series of interactions that will ensue, spearheaded by IFCCI, to help implement French expertise in the development of Bangalore City and Karnataka State.
