The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mumbai, in partnership with EY India organized an informative session on ‘Navigating Compliance & Fraud Risks for French Companies in India’ on 8th May 2024 at EY Mumbai office.
The event showcased presentations by experts from EY’s Forensic & Integrity Services Team, including Sandeep Baldava, Partner & Leader (West), and Yashvi Shah, Senior Manager. Sandeep delivered a comprehensive presentation that delved into insights and case studies on various topics, including Anti-bribery regulations and recent actions in India and France, regulatory and enforcement actions by agencies like SEBI, ED, and RBI, and the potential impact of the Data Privacy Act on India.
Yashvi addressed ESG attributes and challenges, particularly focusing on issues like greenwashing within ESG Compliance. Additionally, the session covered the latest regulatory developments in AI, such as the EU AI Act, and explored the application of AI & ML in fraud investigation and compliance.
The open discussion in the session served as a platform to discuss practices and existing challenges. A special thanks to EY India for hosting the session and sharing insights on this key topic.
