IFCCI in collaboration with MEDEF International organised an engaging session on India's Economic Growth and Outlook 2025 with the CEOs of French companies in India, on 26th November 2024 at the Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi.
Ms. Payal S. Kanwar, Director General of IFCCI, in her introductory remarks, emphasized on IFCCI’s commitment to supporting India’s economic aspirations through such interactions and strategic collaborations.
Mr. Ravin Mirchandani, Vice President of IFCCI Pune and Chairman of Ador Powertron, while welcoming the esteemed MEDEF International Delegation, members of the IFCCI CEO Committee and the Guest Speaker, Dr. Arvind Virmani, Member of NITI Aayog, highlighted the resilience of the Indian economy and its robust potential for sustained growth; showcased success stories of French companies thriving in India across key sectors like aerospace, mobility, and energy; acknowledged recent impactful government initiatives and proposed potential areas for reforms to further enhance the business environment.
This was followed by Special Remarks from Mr. Laurent Germain, Vice-Chairman of the France-India Business Council of MEDEF International and CEO of Egis, introduced the delegation, highlighting the purpose and significance of their visit.
The event featured an insightful keynote address by Guest Speaker Dr. Arvind Virmani, Member of NITI Aayog, who shared his expert perspectives on India’s economic trajectory and opportunities for Indo-French collaboration. He highlighted the shift from centralized planning to a visionary approach under NITI Aayog, underscoring the need for individual and national visions for sustained and transformative growth.
An interactive Q&A session and networking lunch followed, where attendees engaged in thoughtful discussions on the global and domestic economic challenges and opportunities for cooperation between India and France in various sectors. This platform underscored the commitment of IFCCI and MEDEF International to strengthen economic ties and drive sustainable growth.
