The Indo – French Chamber of Commerce (IFCCI) organised the Fourth Edition of its flagship event, the HR Conclave and Awards 4.0 on 5th March 2024 in New Delhi, bringing together CEOs, CHROs, & Global Thought Leaders from the Indo-French Business Community.
The event began with Welcome Remarks by Ms. Payal S. Kanwar, Director General, IFCCI who welcomed the distinguished guests from the Indo-French Business Network and thanked the participants for taking out the time and joining the event. She also launched the HR eBooklet comprising of valuable insights and enriching articles from members of the IFCCI HR Committee.
Highlighting the vital role of CHROs in Strategic decision-making, Mr. Laurent Ladroyes, Chairperson IFCCI HR Committee and Personnel Director, Michelin India shared the Introductory Remarks and shed light on the topic.
Mr. Philipe Pezet, SVP HR Programmes, Services, Commercial & International, Airbus shared his special remarks on Airbus’s international HR Program and services.
Dr. Shalini Sarin, Independent Board Members and ex-Global CHRO Phillips Professional Lighting, set the event in motion and addressed the audience on the theme of the evening with her Keynote Address which was very well received by everyone.

The session was skillfully moderated by Dr. Shalini Sarin, Independent Board Members and ex-Global CHRO Phillips Professional Lighting with our esteemed panelists: Mr. Ashwin YARDI, Chief Executive Officer, Capgemini India, Mr. Ashish SARAF, VP and Country Director, India, Thales and Mr. Deepak SHARMA, CEO & MD, Schneider Electric India.
- CHRO PANEL DISCUSSION on ‘Elevating Excellence: The CHRO's Strategic Role in Boardroom Leadership’
Mr. Laurent LADROYES, Chairperson, IFCCI HR Committee & Personnel Director – India, Michelin steered an engaging session with our esteemed panelists: Mr. Suraj Chettri, CHRO, Airbus India, Ms. Shalini Nair, Vice- Chairperson, IFCCI HR Committee & Head – P&C, Asia Pacific, Amadeus Software Labs India Pvt. Ltd., Ms. Aarti Srivastava, CHRO, Capgemini India and Ms. Suvarna Mishra, CHRO, Pluxee (a Sodexo Enterprise).
The event also witnessed an address by Mr. Emmanuel Lebrun-Damiens, Director, the French Institute in India & Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Affairs, Country Director, Embassy of France in India who presented his views on the important Student Mobility initiative of the French Government.
Mr. Eric Fajole, French Trade Commissioner, Embassy of France and Director, Business France, South Asia shared an informative address to the CHROs, and HR Heads present on the VIE Program.
These insightful discussions were followed by the prestigious IFCCI HR Awards Ceremony. This year IFCCI received 30 nominations from 16 Indian & French Companies across the three categories.

The Award ceremony was followed by Special Remarks on ‘Hybrid Intelligence Meets Hiring’ by Mr. Piyush Raj Akhouri, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Bridgentech Consulting LLP and Hire++ Technologies.
A special talk was given by Ms. Sunayana Basu Mallik, Partner, Common Law Chambers on ‘Tools and Metrics to assess breach of Confidentiality, non-compete and non-solicitation clauses with employees.’
The program ended with the Closing Remarks by Ms. Snehalata Deshmukh, Vice-Chairperson, IFCCI HR Committee & HR Country Manager, Naval Group India who thanked all the participants and shared the key takeaways from the event.
The Conclave wrapped up with a networking hi-tea and was highly appreciated by all the participants for the quality and relevance of its contents and discussion.
