On September 23, 2024, the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI), through its Energy & Utilities Committee, hosted a roundtable meeting with Dr. Kajal, Director at the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The meeting was held at the DPIIT headquarters in New Delhi and facilitated meaningful dialogue between members of the Indo-French business community and DPIIT representatives.

The session began with a warm welcome and setting of the context by Ms. Payal S Kanwar, Director General, IFCCI, followed by introductions from all participants. The discussions thereafter addressed key challenges faced by the Indo-French energy sector in India, including the need for stable policies, clear roadmaps on taxes and duties, and better cooperation with state governments.
